Help Identify Central Texas Artifact

Hello,
New to the hobby. Hoping to get some help identifying this piece I found today.
Details: found at the bottom surface of hiking trail; approximately 3-4" lower than surrounding ground surface, gentle slope within 50yards of nearby Slaughter Creek (dry most of the year). Lots of flint core, flakes, and other tools found throughout area...all on the surface but no projectiles. Hopefully these pics will help. Thanks all!

Looks like a nice sized scraper / hide flesher. Nice Find!
 

Definitely worked , maybe a preform or something else they roughed out but didn’t go any further with it
 

Your name says it all. Turtlebacks. That's what we call them around here. It's a spall knocked of a larger nodule that has been trimmed some. I don't see any fatal flaws in them so may be still usable. Pieces like this are what the Indians were after and would have left the quarry area with. If you're at a quarry area, these are very common and most are rejects left behind. Gary
