I've been searching a site for just two days and only for two hours a day.
This is the area. It is a part of a park. First i thought i would find only euros.

first day i found a lot of bullets and only two coins

so i decided to get back the next day and to be more patient with the signals. The ferrous sound is terrible and makes you want to stop.
And look what i found

The park looks like a beautiful place to detect, congrats on the great totals you gat, the silver is really a nice one.

Just imagine what the lives might have been like when the person lost any of those. Beautiful site too!

1000 Year Old Hammered Silver

Now that's a title! And very nice pictures and post too.

Congrats on finding some really nice old coins. Those hammered silvers are just spectacular! You are very lucky to have such an old place to hunt. I wish you the best of luck on your hunts and look forward to seeing your finds.

Oh yeah, welcome to Treasure Net!

What amazes me is that you found those Medieval coins in park land! I assume it was never ploughed? How deep were the oldest ones?

I know woods seem to keep very old stuff closer to the surface but I have never been able to exaplain why.:icon_scratch:

Way to go Vince, you are tearing it up over there in Italy. :occasion14: I sure enjoy seeing all your ancient coins.

WHAT THE HAEL HAVE YOU FOUND NOW VINCE ? HECK IM STILL TRYING FIGURE OUT SOME OF YOUR FINDS FROM YOUR OTHER POST ... SWEEEET .

U r right Crus, i found them just 5-10 cm so it means just under the old leafes. The bullets were some more deep but maybe just because of their shape ang weight.

Awesome finds!!!

Crus, for this site i've been using the 5x8 coil. I was thinking to put the other one, the 8,5x11 and turn back to this site. What do u think?

Its amazing to find items held by regular folk so long ago!!!

Always worth going back over with a bigger coil.
