I found a new spot recently for finding Michigan septarians or Lightning Stones as a lot of locals call them. I used to be lucky to find one where I could make a 2 -3 inch sphere out of them. But recently, I've been getting my feet wet a bit and dragging some lunkers out of Lake Michigan...

I've found quite a few Michigan Lightning Stones this year and finally got around to making some spheres. I really like this kind of stone.
