Dug from local creek bed
The shells are rounded-nose Shenkle bolts , unfired with the wooden sleeve sabot intact. They were found and dug from a creek in Provencal LA. – one on the left is a solid bolt and the right , a explosive shell with fuse removed (deactivated) .
