I took Chuck to my honey hole and we searched the river bank for about an hour or more and came up with a few here. Chuck found the neatest tiny birdpoint. I found a uniquely stripped bird point associated with the flint spall it was probably made from. Thought that was pretty cool.

is there a way to tell if it's a good area for arrowheads?

Nice finds hard to beat river bank hunting.

LL, thanks for getting me out yesterday. That pic really shows the point and associated lithic well. What are the chances eh??

Nice hunt and in timely fashion thanks for the post

Sniffer, I am assuming you mean......."Is there a way to tell if a particular area might contain Native American artifacts?"

Usually we look for rocks that were obviously cracked by being in extreme heat (campfire), as well as ash, bone, and flint shards.

Sweet, it looks like there could be 2 or three made out of that. I like that nicer triangular blade.
