got out for a 6 hour hunt today, the last half hour was great. I found .71 cents in clad 2 quarters,1 canadian dime,1 nickle,6 pennies. another mystery metal blob,a fishing lure,3 lbs of sinkers,a brass pipe fitting, a small initial ring made of silver and this very stout 14k beauty. I haven't weighed it yet but even with my cold hands and gloves on I could feel its heft.

if I find 3lbs of gold I won't be posting, I'll be in the bahamas. add 5lbs of trash too. that gold ring lit me up pretty good so heading back to the truck was like floating on clouds. only real problem today was the very cold breeze out of the north. the water was still 67 degrees but that breeze cut right through my wetsuit. it got choppy about 2-4 foot waves for an hour but I'm glad I stayed after an hour it subsided to 1-3 foot waves.
