Haven't been on much nor have I been out much....
With this crappy weather and my painful body and being sick in the beginning of the week doesn't give me time to go out.
Plus I have been working overtime at work so I get up around 10:30 in the morning...Then back to work...

I did get out for about 1/2 hour on the way home from HomeDepot on Wed.
Hit what was an old farm house that is been gone
for about a year now.. I got a wheat penny first.. Minutes later I got this cool Climax #4 lock... I found a bigger one years ago just like it...
About 20 minutes later I dug my very first #8 SILVER THIMBLE... With the initials M.L.G engraved on it.. Always wanted to find one and now I can say that I have....Cool....

Today after watching my daughter play her last soccer game ,on the cold windy field,
I decided I wanted to go do some M D.
Called Kimsdad to see if he was out and if he wasn't I knew WaterColor probably would be so I would meet up with him..
Turns out they were just both heading out so I met up with them....

I was on the side of this big hill when I got this decent signal so I dug it...
First to come out of the hole was the Medal with a bird on it.... ??? ??? ??? Any Idea's what it might be.... ??? ???
Rechecked the hole and the dirt and still got another signal and found the big round disc with the probe...
I didn't even look at it yet cause I knew it was some token....
Showed it to Mark and Neil a little while later and Mark got to see what is was before I even had chance to look at it... ;D ;D ;D
All I remember him saying was " Move out of the light " ;D ;D ;D
Turn out to be a Boy Scout Token.... I wish I knew the year though....Found some on ebay real cheap but they don't give an age.

Enjoy.....

Cool finds Bob! Is there a hallmark inside the thimble? I've been doing a lot of research on them since finding mine last week.
WTG!

John
I cleaned the inside , since you asked the question, but I don't see any.....The inside looks nice now...Thanks ;D ;D

Great finds, Bob!!!

That thimble is cool! I can't wait 'til I find my first.

Todays finds are great, too! Looks like you were the only one of the three of us who had a good find. I wonger what that locket is...

Love the lock, Bob. I got the same style lock earlier this year, but with a different design. Great finds!

Great job bud, love the thimble!!!! Yea see if you can see any markings inside of it. I found this thimble last year and on the inside it has "Sterling" a "star" and "7". And yours looks fancier than mine, I bet its sterling silver too. :icon_pirat:

Bob, that thimble is sweet
The "7" on the inside might be a reference to it's size.

The Scout token is just as nice!. . . I think his "good deed" that day
was loosing it on the side of that hill so you could find it :)

I'm glad one of us got something cool :icon_pirat:
