Keep in mind that is a 100 Turkish Lira before January 1 2005. After that date the new Turkish Lira was issues with 6 zeros removed greatly increasing its value. So instead of being a $55 worth it is actually $0.000055. I cant picture buying a candy bar for a few million "whatevers"... It even made yen look good. Just an FYI. I used to be into coins when I was younger.
