Jeff, same kinda thing happened to my Step Grandad. About 1906 in Urich,MO. During the funeral for his Grandmother,when the people passed the coffin made of cast iron and having a glass over the area of the face, someone noticed the condensation on the glass. They opened it up and she lived for several more months. No embalming in those days.

I honestly think that is why they started embalming. so if your Not dead at the time,
You will be before they cover you over or throw you in the furnace.
