ever since i moved here i have wanted to hunt the courthouse lawn. today i got close. the house accross the street was bought by the church next door and torn down. the yard graded. i had to stop n check it out. talked to the pastor, he said have fun. about an hour yeilded some nails, a thimble, and a bullet. it appears bigger than a .22, but i dont know much about weapons.the base measures 5/16" and is 9/16" long. anyone know what it is.

I have a hunting ground that the house was built in the 1700s..

Bullet sounds like a .32 (7.65mm) caliber. Could have been fired from several different popular handguns in the early to mid twentieth century.

The pic is so small I can't make out the bullet, but it's about .312 to .32 caliber. Without eyeballing it I can't say. Monty

.32 ACP probably. Monty

Looks like a good spot for you :icon_thumleft: try not shrinking your pictures to much
