This newest permission is our last chance to detect before harvest. We returned here after we had found the better option which scored us the Celtic Gold. We started in the morning by finishing off Game Strip No.2. This worked out pretty good, with Cru'dad getting the hammered after 30 mins.
In the afternoon we moved to Game Strip no.3 which was one of the noisiest fields I have done in many years. We later found out from the farmer's son that it was next to the US bomb dump.
It was pretty hot today, so we only did a 5 hour hunt.

17th C Token
55 WWII US Ammo box Seals
17th C Spur Buckle
Spec Buckle & Pin
James I Coin Weight for a Gold Crown (Type I need)
1943 Two Shilling (Florin)
Circa 1610 James I Halfgroat

Cru,

Now that is a lot of ammo crate seals. What do you anticipate finding on this new field based on your research. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

We would call this a blind hunt, as we are just doing the only options available this time of year. This is not a targeted site. It's all down to luck.
PS. The targeted Roman area on this new land was Game Strip no.1. (completed already)

Interesting finds today. I like that 1610 half groat.Watch out for the live ammo

I'm surprised this post hasn't seen more activity Cru, you and your Dad made some interesting finds. :occasion14:
The 55 WWII US Ammo box Seals, the 1610 James I Halfgroat and the 17thc Spur Buckle are beautiful.

Was this a WWII shooting range or military staging area, I'm just curious as to why all the US Ammo Box seals were found there?
Dave
