11-23 and 11-24 finds from the fields

Nothing spectacular but still had fun as always. Yesterday's finds were meager. The green glass thing has a patent date of May 3 1881. I have no idea what it is. My buddy George had the only coin find yesterday. A unidentifiable copper.Today I hit a local farm for a few hours. It was recently turned over and easy to dig. The first hole I dug was the 1900 indianhead. The other two wheaties are 1911 and 1920. Still got my exercise and some brisk fresh air. Tomorrow we hit a field that has produced six KG coppers and an assortment of buttons. Good luck out there.

That round green glass thing is an old jar lid. you have the jar with a wire bail and put a rubber ring on top of the jar then the lid and swing the wire across the top which seals the jar. Lots of them here on the farm in Arkansas.

Hi Ricardo. When farmfield hunting it's a good idea to pretty much dig it all except iron, and large iron can sometimes fool you as well. I run my disc very low and my sens as high as I can go on both the X2 and X5 until I get chatter. Don't want to miss the small buttons.

Here's a Lightning Jar I found about 40 years ago, people were still throwing them away back then I couldn't believe it, I found this along side of a road where someone had dumpED a bunch of trash. I found 4 old fruit jars that day, there was another lightning along with this one but it doesn't have the top, you must have found my top !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
