and a .55 caliber musket ball. now if I could just find the musket !!!

Tim, What kinda beaches you got in Ohio, I think you had to many of them things in the upper portion of your pic. :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: God Bless HH Chris

those are leftovers from my sister and her husband, I cant stand budweiser or miller lite. we have some nice beaches on lake erie, and I like this one very much. happy hunting.

No coin finds at all? If i'm not finding coins and other stuff from swimmers i move to another beach or a different spot on the beach. I've always found coins where i've found jewelry. Try finding a place where some swimming was going on, looks like you are in a fishing spot. HH

Don't worry about this dude's finds! If you haven't seen many of his previous posts, check his profile list and you'll notice very old 1 reale and 1/2 reale from his lake! Good of yall to give useful advice even though in this case, he sure knows what he's doing. And I really like it when people post finds on days they didn't find anything exciting, as I have plenty like that. Yesterday my beach detecting finds were 3 cents and 3 dimes, not enuf to pay for the coffee I bought to warm myself up. So my best finds were watching colorful sailboats, sea birds skimming the surf, and happy dogs running the beach. HH to all yall. Andi

Who cares about coins and jewelry when you are finding history like those ships spikes. :notworthy:

I'm with you baywalker, give me history. old artifacts that you have to identify and have a known history or give a historical event credence just make me all kinds of warm and fuzzy. colonial, revolutionary, civil war,the world wars, or alot of the pre history stuff, just imagine if those artifacts could talk, or making them talk and give up their secrets so that forgotten events and people are remembered correctly.

the men that sailed the beaver only had themselves, no coast guard,no backup,no radio,no motor, just muscles and skills. all that while sailing on uncharted waters,in a country where the natives were on the warpath literally. it has been an honor to have dug up all this previously unknown history and bring it to light. and it has been very rewarding as well.
