Found roughly 2.5km downstream from a tributary (N-W NB) which had a large potato cull dumpsite collapse into it decades ago, which may account for the colorful specs:

So far it's only gotten a preliminary hand cleaning under the faucet. That's when I realized the "bit" end of it (if apppicable) is a bit nippy along the middle edge and could hurt someone if grabbed the wrong way.

Any input as towards what this could be if anything?
 

That piece looks like it was shaped by erosion. Natural IMO.
 

I dont see any signs of it being worked but good to get opinions
