Has anyone ever tried the new 11" pro coil on the Explorer II?

I keep reading wonderful things about the pro coil, but don't want to have to upgrade to the SE - my Explorer II still has lots of life in it.

I know I also need to consider where I'm detecting, and that I have to go over a good target in the first place :)

It will work on the II. It works on my old XS! :)

Aloha I gave the new coil a three hour test run today at a park near my house. I hunted this park over 25 times and found some gold rings and over 1000 quarters before. I thought this would be a good test for the new coil to see if I could find good targets among the trash. I normally hunt this park with a Sunray 5 inch and Sunray 8 inch due to all the bottle caps and pull tabs. I thought it would be hard to use a 11 inch coil here, but I was wrong. I found 18/25, 14/10,7/05,24/01, 1/game token and a charm bracelet. The target separation was amazing for such a large coil and I could cover more ground with the larger coil. The pinpointing was spot on when I used it, but most of the times I did not use it. And lastly the weight of the new coil feels like I'M using an 8 inch coil.

I went to another school and found another silver dime with this SE Pro coil. I can't wait to try it at the beach, and I think this is going to be my new favorite coil.

I can't believe how light and more balanced my Minelab Explorer 2 feels with this coil. If you buy this coil you won't be sorry. I got mines from David at Dixie Metal Detectors.
