hunted a wooded area off a open field today first time been to this place did better there then in the field, alot of junk, in the ground, and surface coins,ground was wet and surface water all around, so got muddy today, detector looks like its 100 years old and never clean. here the photos. plan on getting back on my next days off, that wont be til xmas,

That is a nice spread of silverthere....Hope you hit even more at Christmas. Glad to see you getting out and posting now!We missed you!

man! :o if you dont mind saying, what did this place used to be back in the day? in other words how do you think these coins came to be there? awesome finds!
 
Most people overlook wooded areas thinking that no one would ever play in there, but my best spots were wooded areas in old parks. Nice group old silver, my record is around 27 in one day, but it's very rare to even find 11 in a day. HH
 
Holy crap! That's quite a nice pile of silver. Some of the silver were surface finds? Can't beat that!!! I'd be there in a heartbeat, what are the GPS coordinates again??? ;D ;D ;D

was out sunday morning looking for a place to hunt, was in a place called jacksonville, al the jacksonville state university, town dated back to 1833. read a story about the traven in town had over 10,000 people there in one day and running out of rum, all " heck" broke out, so i been looking for this place, the place has age, and the people there for some time, hope to find some older things, when i get back after xmas. my holiday time is over til then back to 7days aweek aging in the morning, also there a cw battle close by there also, about 1400 union troops captured, there looking for this place also, i know about where its at, but have not pin pointed the places yet. more paper work i need to do,

11 silver coins in one day? GREAT job...good job on the research as well, glad to see your hard work rewarded!!! Good luck when you get back there after Christmas....hope to see more silver along with some CW relics..:)
