Last week Feb 28th.
Home and bored I was browsing internet posting sights and ran across a posting
Stating “help lost ring in the snow" with a phone number.
With nothing going on I decided to call finding out the ring has not been found as of yet.
Volunteering my services, and after a quick 20 min or so drive.
Asked what kind of ring and I looking for, was told a white gold wedding band.
I pulled out my detector made the proper adjustments then started swinging away.
First hit was an old bottle cap - 2nd hit was pay dirt. Just under the snow and on top of the soil
There it was. Not bad for less than 5 mints looking.
Made the guy in the photo really happy and he threw a $20 my way for my travel time.
We talked a bit then parted ways. Turns out he had been looking for it for over 8 hours that day.
And I was the only one that responded to his post. Was a nice way to start out this years detecting season.
