Hello My Friends!

I had another fantastic half-day hunt at my silver park today. It was just one of those days. I met Mike(ratman) and his Dad at the park today, and a little while later, my buddy Curt(Bibleman) showed up. I was hoping for a couple of silver coins and maybe double digits on the wheats. Well, I was close on the wheats, but I was off by a count of 5 on my silver. I was pulling silver dimes from an area I've hunted many times before, including just about all of my hunting buddies. Some were shallow in the dirt field, while others were down to 9". My 6th silver I dug today was a coin I had never found before. It's a 1943 Australian Three Pence. It looks like it was dropped the day it was minted. It was an 8" signal that sounded nice and fluty. I even let Curt listen to it, and he said, "Wow, That's Deep"! I ended the day with 7 silver (2 Mercs, 4 Rosies, 1 Aussie Three Pence), and 8 wheaties.

On Saturday, I met Tristan at a barrio park, and ended up with 2 Mercs, 1 Rosie, and 10 wheats. I also found a clay marble in one of my wheatie plugs. The other 2 silvers and remaining wheats were found on a short hunt at the "silver park" again last week. I just cannot believe the amount of silver I've dug out of this park....220 pieces since Jan. '08.

Thanks for looking!

Interesting Notes on my Silver Three Pence:

During 1942-1944, The US mint in San Francisco and Denver helped Australia by minting the three pence. Mine was minted in Denver. In 1946, the coin was reduced from 92.5% silver to 50% silver to help in paying back Australia's massive WWII debt.

Thanks, Seger. Yeah, that is just from 1 park. I've got at least 10 other parks producing silver for me right now.

Thanks, Doug!! I've been having a great run so far this year!

I wish I could do more videos, but my cameraman isn't detecting much anymore. I find it too difficult to make my own videos. I just want to detect and dig.

Thanks, DF! Yeah, the clay marble was quite the surprise...I dug the wheatie plug, and there it was 6" down.

That sounds a bit selfish to me Dan.
I think your fans deserve more videos. Just tape the camera to your coil or your forehead. :tongue3:

I'll bet that the Australian coin was brought back by a US World War II serviceman.

By the way, it was made at the Denver Mint.
