A week ago I found a medieval Swedish silver coin (2 Öre 1570) which had a rare design on it that I posted on the 'Today's Finds'. It will probably be my best find for this year and it is a very rare coin to find here in Sweden. Why the silver coin looks like a copper coin is because of the silver plating. Johan III secretly cheated and silver plated his silver coins instead of making them .500 silver which would be very cruel in that time cause if you would counterfeit these coins you could be sentenced to death penalty and those laws were made and passed by by the king. This also caused some people getting extremely angry on the king but as you know the royal people had a lot of power and force so no civilian would dare to speak up. Just a little history for you :)

Now I also made a video where I talk about the find a little bit more:

Thank you for watching and Happy Hunting
