1678 cob found in thenlate 80's

This cob was found by a long time detectorist friend of mine in the late 80's in Rhode Island. No fancy story behind finding it. I'm just jealous and wanted to post a pic of it. I've always wanted one but haven't grabbed one yet. It appears to be a potosi mint, 1678 and weighs about 26 grams. Any other info about it would be great. Thanks for looking!

Very nice piece. 1678 8 Reale minted in Potosi during the reign of King Phillip IV. Assayer - Antonio de Ergueta (E).

Not sure if it is the reflection of the flash, but I detect a greenish tinge on the periphery. If it has been in the flip since the 80's, it is strong possibility that it is in an old vinyl flip. The pvc degrades over time causing corrosion. Remove it from the old flip.

Thanks diver down! I just noticed that! It does appear to have a greenish tinge. It's definitely been in there since the 80's. I'll let him know!
