17 good cents today!....

On my way home I stopped by the old house where I found the barber dime and IH recently. I started where I left off and after a while I got a 41 wheat penny. A little while later I got the 1883 IH, then a shot up bad looking 1897 Barber dime. At least they didn't shoot the date out. Shortly before I left I got a low tone. I wasn't expecting a nickel but was greatly surprised by the awesome looking 1867 shield nickel! WOOO HOOO!!!! Also two clad quarters and two zinc pennies. When I dug one of the pennies I found the three Army men with it. Only about 20% of the yard left but I will be back!

Best seventeen cents I've seen in a long time. Your sheild nick is amazing with its fine detail! Too bad about the the barber dime, although it has character. And then an 83 IHP - Nice outing - makes it worth it in this cold. Way to go Mike, I am hoping to get out this weekend with the warmer weather.
