1700s cellar hunt gives up a plated button!

Back to the 1700s cellar hole we been pounding. Not lots of good signals anymore lots of nail diging now but still managed to pull this button out says ''best plated'' on the back has a full shank and appears to have some gold? plating still on it any help wpuld be great on iding it some more thanks.
