1758 spanish coin

My dad recintly found a 1758 spanish coin it is silver and the size of a quarter the date is very readable he said he can see a crown on it and there is flowers between the letters and numbers it was found in northern va if any one can give e any info that would be great sorry no picture yet Thanks Rebelraider
