Hi, I picked these two up yesterday at a yard sale. First is a 1766 1/4 Stuber, copper. It is about the size of a nickel. Paid $4. It's 244yrs old. How should I clean it a bit without losing any detials? :dontknow:

Next is a 1925 One Shilling from East Africa, silver, the size of a half dollar. Paid $15, a little pricey I think but I wanted it :tongue3:

What do you think? I'm trying to find info on these such as market value and mintage. Is there a good website to hit up to find info on world coins? Foreign coins have always been difficult for me to research.

Thanks, Chris

Don't clean it! Let an expert do it.

The East Africa Shilling is 7.7759g of .250 Silver= .0625 oz.
Worth about $7 in XF condition, $20 in Unc.

Best Wishes,
Scott

Some of those German coppers are silver plated. Cleaning could ruin it.
