1777 Georgivs III coin

I found a coin when i was going thru my can of quarters late last night and I'm not sure what to make of it. I came across this site to see if I can find any information about it. I'm not sure how I ended up with this coin. i just throw my loose change into the piggy banks separating the quarters from the other coins. It must've been mistaken as a dirty ol quarter when I got change back at some point. Can anyone tell me what I've got here? thx

Yes Crusader is right, However, this coin was ONLY made with the date 1773. I belive the other "7" you see is just a worn "3"

Sure it can, you could polish it up & see your nose hairs in it
