Been hitting the same fields I always hit when I come back to visit South Jersey and keep getting more and more goodies. Tried a new small field way in the back the other night and pulled a draped bust before calling it a night. Next short visit a 1864 'no L' Indian head and a 1873. Then my 3dr trip in the halfway frozen ground pulled a library head and then a ONE CENT with a chain around it on the reverse?

I knew I had an old one but didn't know what I had till I looked it up the next morning! Was not expecting a 1793 !!

Congratulations! That's a difficult one to find. Maybe there's another one in your little field. Great Find!

Congrats on the chain cent! Love it. Foung my 1st 1793 this summer but it was the wreath variety. Still super exciting

According to Wikipedia, only about 1,000 chain cents are known to exist. Very nice find!

I'm surprised there isn't more of an uproar for this coin- there were only a little more than 36K minted and it is extremely rare. My banner vote is in for this one in a lifetime find- big time Congrats!

Thanks ! I regret not getting it on video I had been bringing my new GoPro but just not this time.

Thanks ! Still finding stuff even in 5" of snow. Got a 1886 IH, 3 more buttons and a oil lamp piece.

Nice nice nice. Don't let some dealer offer you $500 for it. They are very expensive.
Thanks ! It'll be on display at the local historical society with my other finds. Definitely not going to sell it.
