1812 War British Royal Navy Boarding Axe

At first it just looked like a couple of iron spikes. I almost left it. It turned out to be a Royal Navy boarding axe with makers mark SARGANT 1805. My favorite axe so far! What a wicked looking weapon.

This is what it looked like. Just a mass of iron. I carefully chipped off the rust.

Nice axe. A friend of mine found a boarding axe that looked sort of like yours but also had a spear out of the top. But it is in poor condition compared to yours.
