Just a question, because I don't know.

Why is the eagle worn down so much more than the edges?
It seems like it would wear sort of evenly if slid across counters and stuff.
I'm not saying its fake or anything, because the graded coin is the same way.
 

In my experience, you can deduct 20% when scratches (random) are present from the current grade. When there are letters carved into coin, the value drops substantially depending on whether the carving is on the reverse or the obverse. If the carvings are done artistically such as a love token than the value can increase somewhat. In your case, the carving of a 'W' on the obverse is the worst case scenario. At a grade of good, you could expect $120, but with the damage you might be lucky to get $60.
