My first thought was 1897, but now, not sure. Can't find similar pics to compare it with.

Assuming there were differences in coins minted 70 years apart you will probably get a definitive answer from someone based on the characteristics. I don't know nuthin' about any of that but I'm voting 1827.

1827 2 reale Mexico City mint.
 

by 1897 mexico had moved to the Peso, the only silver reale minted that year was an 8.
 

A2, There is definitely a foot on that "9".

Since this coin was produced only from 1825-1872, you may need to be evaluated by an ophthalmologist. Just sayin’.

I was in agreement with a2coins until I saw the number 2 on the left side of the coin. Now Isee it clearly as a 2.
