Got out to a buddy's farm to locate his survey markers, then to do a little hunt. It was hard hunting due to the grass getting tall and all the other fields being planted but managed to get up a 1832 Nova Scotia Half Penny. Then we had a couple of hours to kill so we hit a sports field for some beer money. $7:14 cents plus a 10 pence coin from across the pond which happens to be the exact same diameter as the Half penny. Got a copper disc also that may or may not be a coin, don't know.

Beautiful stuff! Can't wait to hear about the copper.

Is the coin on your avatar , pretty much the same coin as your 1832 nova scotia copper (William IV ?)

No, it's the same king but that is one of 4 Gold sovereigns I got off a wreck recently and with any luck I will have more this summer.:skullflag:

You really are living the dream!

Nice going Dave. Let us know if you can get an ID on that copper disc.

I tried everything I know to try and get something off of this copper but it is too baddly gone. I think it was a token and a cheep one at that. I found it only a few feet from the half penny and it's in good shape.
Oh well I guess I'll have to just go out and get some more.

Nice Half Penny and other finds! You'll just have to leave it to your imagination as to what that copper disc once was.
