Hi All,
Got out on Saturday to a new foundation I got permission to hunt this past winter. Some of the areas were still frozen, but parts were not. My first good find among the junk finds was the small flower button. Soon after that I got a nice signal and out popped the 1837 Large Cent from about 6 inches down. A little while later I dug the whole spoon up from under a big rock. Then came the two larger buttons, I could tell the one was plain but could see a little gold gilt on the other one. After a nice cleaning this button has to be one of my buttons that still has the gold gilt left on it. Before I was about to leave got a decent signal and dug up the 1857 Flying Eagle, which turned out to be in decent shape after some cleaning. Over all a fun short hunt. Thanks for reading and looking.
