I'll find 1 or 2 every year here in Boone County Illinois
I'm in Illinois also at the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi rivers, have only found 2 and they came of the same homestead.

Looks like you found a 3 cent nickel (III), which is a pretty rare find.

Ox knobs don't get posted much cuz they ring up like a large cent and when you dig one you're disappointed ☹️

Looks like a pretty good day of recoveries. Congrats 👏

I'd take an Ox know over a LC most days.
I don't think I have dug that type before.

You were so close! A ‘76 Indian and a ‘56 large cent. The ‘77 Indian is the second rarest key date. A ‘57 large is the key date for those. Still some good finds for IL.

Nice bunch of Finds ..Kudos to the 3 cent nickel pc..Congrats..
