Rehunted an 1800s homestead site today and found these. That halftime is one of only 4 I have found in 40 years of treasure hunting. I have a big smile on my face that won’t go away.

Always a big smile to see one in the dirt.
But it just doesn't happen enough.
Congratulations on the Half Dime

Gorgeous, i haven’t cracked 1863 on my coins, fingers crossed I’ll get to lower digits. How was the signal? A nice loud hit or a sneaky soft ding?

It was a solid signal about 6” deep. Lots of iron at the spot. Hunted it about 20 times but every year after they till it I manage to find things.

Nice find on the half dime!
