To treat myself on Fathers Day I went to the old woods to do what I love to do what I like the most. DIG.
So today I dug a sharp 1847 coronet large copper , a beat down Jersey Copper that was a in a swamp, some sort of U.S. Grant button or token . It appears to have been a two part item not really sure but it's cool. A military general issue button and a hammered brass nail. The ring in the picture I don't think is jewelry.. well thanks for looking and happy father's day to all the Dads out there.

Awesome finds. :headbang: I have yet to pull 2 large coppers in a single day. That Grant token/coin is cool.

Hello Tony12100. Very nice digs and happy Dad Day to you too. All I could manage today was a '48 Wheatie. HH C9

Happy Father's Day Tony! Great finds as usual.

Best, Erik

THATS A GREAT GROUP YOU GOT THERE.

Great finds. I really like the copper and the grant token.

I dug a "ring" that looks exactly like yours a few days ago. I think it was a piece of copper pipe off cut.
I thought I had something for a minute.

You have really done well at that woods spot, If I was out there I'd have about twenty ticks dug in me. They love my blood it is like candy to them and all those other biting bugs. Green heads, strawberry flies, gnats, and mosquitoes.
Nice digs Tony.

I have found a few of them too over the years, I also think they are pieces of copper pipe that have been cut off and discarded. They do look pretty good though, like maybe an old wedding band, when first unearthed!
