1850's Canal Town - old iron, buttons and another LC
Fun hunt last evening and this morning. Farmer is going to be planting soon, so I figured one last hard hunt. This was a blacksmith shop at the the entrance to the old an town along the Wabash & Erie Canal. Nothing but fields and woods now. Dug several flat buttons, copper ring, buckles, tools, and other misc. Pulled out my nicest LC to date at this site, an 1855 shown after cleaning with wood skewer. Started pouring rain so I hurried back home. Luckily this site is only 1/4 of mile from my house. Have fun hunting to those who have no rain!
