i thought it was a small washer...or piece that came off a cheap piece of jewelry...it was so dirty....i just thru it in the pocket...when i got home and ran water over it...with a soft rub of A S.O.S PAD...i was like...

Sweet! I had the exact same experience when I dug a trimene.I thought I had a washer or some junk and it was so caked in dirt,I didn't know until I got home and washed it and saw that star that I knew what I had.I just wished I had the thrill out in the field when I found it.Oh well.

This has been a pretty good year for trimes, I think 4 or 5 posted that I can recall.

When I found mine at first I thought it was just a piece of a pull tab, then I thought a piece of jewelry, as I could see something, and it was holed, then I got out my loupe.....
