I found this in a box of stuff I got at a yard sale. Cleaned it up by soaking it in vinegar. Has a B mint mark. Can anyone tell me anything about it.

Centimes minted in Dieppe. Not sure of denomination.

Thanks greylock. Can you point me in the direction as to where I can look to find the value on it.

Cool yard sale find!

Just a tip, in the future do not clean old coins, even if they are very tarnished (unless they are metal detected common dates, never use vinegar, but peroxide, or olive oil), even though that coin is very common, and worn, cleaning will still destroy the value, and make it look unnatural.

Probably a buck or two, they are very common coins

That explains why it was in the box lol. Ty coinman

If, on the reverse is written DIX CENTIMES, it is a ten centimes coin. The 10 centimes coin of Napoleon III were made in vast numbers from 1852 to 1864 and were struck at most of the French mints. They are popular with collectors because of their large size and nice portrait of Napoleon III. Values depend on date, grade (condition) and mint mark. Approximate range: US $1 – $200.
Don....
