Got out today with my dad and our usual huntin buddy. We went to a property in Va that we recently acquired permission for. I had a good day but the others got skunked... I felt a little guilty but hey, we've all been there, right? The property is really old, the original log cabin was built in the mid 1700's. We were here last weekend too and found a couple civil war bullets and rivets in one of the front fields, so that's were we started today. It was slow going this morning though, so we took a short beverage break and then moved into the backyard. My first signal was iffy on the at pro, bouncing between 30's-80's, but it sounded good the whole time. Dug down about 6" through the hard packed dirt and saw the beautiful edge of the barber dime. My first barber and oldest silver to date! Soon after that I picked up the indian, it read a little better, solid high 60's-70's. I started gridding the area and picked up the rest... Along with a ton of great sounding trash. Anybody have a clue what the object with the two holes and floral pattern is??? the suspender clip is a first for me too. We have a lot more area to explore and have the open invite to go back... I just wish it was a little closer, took about 1 1/2 hrs to get home. Next trip we're gonna hit the front yard, I can't wait! Hope everyone one else had a good weekend. Thanks for lookin.
