I went to Oronoco for 8 hrs today and the only coin I found was 1869 Indian Head Cent. I didn't know it until I got home.
I was there yesterday and there was a wedding party there and I've been wanting a mosquito net to go over my face well in the trash was part of a veil and I wore it all day today.
I found two pocket knives and haven't opened them yet to get a name and a diamond shaped brass buckle 2 7/16" x 1 3/4" at the points. Could be a bridle buckle.

Wow! Nice finds and cleaned up very well. Congratulations on your hunt sir! Like the Indians.

How did you clean your IH pennies? They are beautiful!

If you don't mind sharing, i'd also love to know how you clean your indians. That thing is beautiful, congrats!

Looks great!!

love when IH's come out like that! sweet!

Great photos and that IH is really nice.

That funny shaped thin, tappering copper thingy in upper left of the "stuff" picture; I found one just like it here in Texas. Any idea what it is?

I put it in hot peroxide twice and soap on a tooth brush. This coin didn't have a crust on it so I didn't need to use a tooth pic. The soil is sandy even though it looks black and might have something to do with how nice it looks.
It's not in the best condition but I thought it to be a cool find being 1869 key date Indian Head Cent and the only coin found.
There has been a lot of people detect this park and it is big and trashy.

The piece I found was shaped identical and it was copper so some sort of roofing might be right.
