Cool dig. At least extra fine, maybe better ;)

By the way-don't clean it! It may lose all its value! :D :D :D Joking aside, still a pretty cool find-I would be happy with it!

Thats probably the worst condition I seen but a beautiful find congrats

shame about the condition, but still a great find! congrats!

I cam hear taps, quietly in the background.......... :'(

When I first saw it, I thought it was a half dime. Nice little piece of folding money you got there.

Actually, I would love to find one like that! It's been more years than I can remember when I found my last one.

My first coin like that was a lincoln penny. It was folded tightly into 4ths. At first I thought I found a bullet, until I washed off the dirt.

The fact that is in that condition is even more special now, because you will never forget a find like that.

..............HH

You guys are hillarious. Nice taco effects! I cannot figure out how it got like this. I guess if it was between the bricks in the road just right over the years it probably compressed. I almost threw it in the garbage b/c when it was caked w/ mud it looked like some kind of pull tab or scrap.

Interesing find there, congrats as a seated is a seated huh!
There's got to be more there, good luck!

Smiles!

You should send to PCGS, give them old snobs a heart attack. LOL Where are they tearing up cobblestones? That should be an awesome site if you have access. Bongo

In Saginaw/Bay City/Flint for some reason they paved over top of a series of bricked roads. So, over the last few years all of the roads are methodically being replaced a little at a time since they are in bad shape. What I do, I make a mental note of the roads that are in the worst shape - well wouldn't you know I can almost guess which ones they will be doing next. On any given day you can drive downtown in Bay City/Flint/Saginaw and find road construction these days. Only problem, better bring protection b/c some of the areas are baaaaadd! I also found a really cool old button last summer this way - it's posted in the best finds section.

I hate those bittersweet finds...

Here is mine from last week, not nearly as bad as yours

Yeah it's rough. But you can read the date. Sorry about your luck there. Still a nice find!

yeah it sucks it is bent and in that shape but it is one of those finds that will more than if it was in good shape, its funny how things we find that make us sick is usually the first thing we show somebody when we are showing are collection, they become more than just a great coin... dont know how it happens but it does!

hahahahahahaha.......the taco photo just made my day. at least you have a sense of humor out of finding a nice coin mangled up
