Hi everybody,
Normally I reserve today's finds for only my best ones (usually post my finds on Illinois board), today is one of those 1% great finds. I got my 27th Silver for the year, but that's not the big part. The big part is that it was my first ever Seated Liberty, an 1877 -cc dime. For more of an narrative about the find you can visit the Illinois board post http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,314573.0.html. Happy hunting all and thanks for looking.

Many will never find a carson city coin. Good for you.

Congrats,

And a CC to boot. Seated coins are really nice to find. They don't come up often.

Congrats, nothing like your first seated being a Carson City minted coin :headbang:

She's a long way's from home, would love to know the story on that journey :dontknow:

I will never forget my first seated, it was an 1841 seated half dime at an adobe site I'd hit several times before but was determined to find a period coin from it and during a good downpour, under some bushes, I found what I was looking for

HH,
Brian

Good job! It's in good condition too.

I work and detect in Carson City and hope to get a CC coin one of these days.
