Well I leaving my Fort because it?s not worth my time and money and there?s not a high tone to hit besides a memorial. But I am leaving it on a high note a key date 1886 V Nickel
I would like to thank the fort on allowing me to find things that I would?ve never thought in a million years from many half dimes, War of 1812 buttons. 2 Indian tomahawks, a early 18th century French cannonball and my BANNER 1809 8 Reales.

That fort is your crack, Truth. Seems like you're always getting your fix there.
Congrats on the V nickel.
Maybe when the world invents the next generation of detectors you know where to test it out.

Oh I hear ya on the driving and the prices of fuel. We're paying $5.10 a US gallon right now at most stations.
So when one starts to do the figuring it start to weigh on one's judgement in wether it's worth the trip to the site.

Then again I don't have any habits except good food and detecting so it all works out in the budget in the end.
Sites are hard to come by-well the one's that keep producing.
Best of luck on the searching Truth.

Congrats, Truth! I am glad the site has been so good to you. It is not going anywhere, so maybe the circumstances (lower fuel rates) will change for you.

Beautiful V you found! Good luck in your new searches!

Yeah pepper I?m right with you I could imagine paying $5.10 a gallon whereat $2.60 with a VA truck and a five dollar toll makes about a $25 trip. And when you go there four times without finding anything it start messing with your head. Half of my brain produces bullshit and the other half buys it lol
