1889 o Morgan dollar

Had a short hunt today and found a morgan dollar only one inch deep but hit by a plow. Also a old palmolive token 4" deep. Hope everyone had a good day

Great finds! I never realized store coupons passed as coinage at one time! That has to be a great collectible. Good pix!

Yes, as a matter of fact during the civil war, there were many store coupons on tokens. Ebay regularly sells these and they are very much in demand these days. They are a collectable that is going up in value quite significantly as newer collectors are getting into the market. Check out this link for more info.

Got the exact same token! Found it years ago, also got one made of octogonal aluminum for "Ivory White" laundry soap 'buy three get two free'.

i found a square oxydol coupon,3 cents off and it was aluminum
