Well today, I decided to switch things up and use the 5"coil at a small site I hunt. This place is loaded with iron and hot rock's, the F75 earned it's keep with the Barber! In 20+ years of detecting this is my second one, and the first year of issue nice! The first was a 1912. I do believe if I was using the larger coil, I would not have found this coin at this site. I'm amazed at the ability of this coil to isolate individual targets so closely spaced. Hopefully this season will be filled with first's from this machine! Thanks for looking HH

Nice finds Broken knee!

BK, All I can do is sigh! Really though job well done and yes the small coils have their moments, good for you to have tired it out and I'd guess after you've hunted an area out with a large coil you might just try the small coil on the machine..............63bkpkr

Yup, that's me plan mister! One other guy I hunted with only used a small coil, I used to look and shake my head thinking that's nuts, well he didnt find as much but the ratio of better targets, compared to what I had found was definitely on his side. One field I hunt is over 2500 ac. so with this coil I'll be there a while? HH

awesome coin man, u just gotta love old coins, the new clad garbage just shows the difference in modern day as opposed to back then. Thats it, im going to finish my time machine and go back to then!!

great coin man:icon_thumright:

cjon455,
The old coins had actual real value, the modern ones are only tokens. And That Is a Comment about a lot of things...............63bkpkr
