Finally got my dad lined out to get back to the field where i found the 1902 dime last week . I started things out with this Indian head .

Before long Dad come over with what looked like a toasted V nickel. While i pretty much knocked down bean stubble for the next hour and a half he found 3 more coins and a plain brass ring . I heard him yell “silver “ from about 50 yards away when he popped this one out .

Another V

Then this nearly slick Indian that’s a 1866 or 8 . Still can’t tell yet .
In all it was a good little trip . I haven’t seen my dad that happy about detecting for quite a while .
