I found this drilled shank brass or maybe bronze button in the lawn area of an old homestead. just over 1/2” across. Down 6 inches so it has been there for a while. Any help I’d ing it is appreciated.

Seems like a more modern fashion/blazer button. They still make similar ones today. Not sure on the exact age of yours, but I would guess post-1900.
