Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That’s a nice one. Congrats

Very cool Dennis, Congrats!

Wax seal, no doubt but a bit enigmatic! I don't really see anything that would identify the individual in the carving, unless the squiggly lines mean something? Otherwise it seems to say "You Know It's Me". Perhaps someone's anonymous lover? Most seals were carved so that the seal would be in relief, I believe.

Awesome! Thanks for posting!

Awesome! Thanks for posting!

If it's not in relief (can't tell from the photo) then it's the non-functional fob watch bling type. Closer to jewelry than a seal.

Awesome find Dennis

Welcome also from MI Tommy

Right Crusader!

This is in Cameo. The seal would be in intaglio, yes?

I've been told it is a seal and I've been told it looks like jewelry I'm think it's a wax seal but you guys are the pros

You can't see it in the pic but it seems to have been pushed in a bit from what it's supposed to be

Great find! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Unless the picture is playing tricks on the eye, it's not a seal, just a faux one which is not unusual for this period.

Happy hunting also hope to see some cool posts soon and great finds
