My 102 yr old neighbor gave my wife a box of postcards. The oldest is 1906 and the newest 1937.
In the lot is a picture post card of a Wright flyer with a pilot sitting in the machine and a 1900 dressed lady looking on.
The back of the card says"mailed in the air " "By Aero Post from the Avaition Circus Jun 6,7,and 8 1912" The 2cent stamp is cancelled with a Wright Flier imprint.
I would love to post a photo, but still can't figure out how to do it.

1912 USA PIONEER AIRMAIL EVANSVILLE COURIER CIRCUS AIRMAIL Attractive flown souvenir postcard from the aviation circus that took place June 6-8th, 1912. Cards photo depicts Lincoln Beachey seated in his Curtiss pusher plane. Approximately 2,500 of these specialty-printed post cards were serviced during this event.

Item (picture now withdrawn) sold at an auction a year ago; need to register to get more data.
