Went for a two night getaway and the wife asked if I was taking my detector. I first said "no" and then at last second threw it in. I'm glad I did. As we drove into town there was an old house (1906) being taken apart. After asking around I found it was being demolished to put in a new Family Dollar. I spent two evenings in the yard and found a 1927 and 1950 dime and six wheat pennies as well as a handful of other coins. What a great getaway!

Nice hunt...it's nice to have a supportive spouse!

Nice couple of silvers, congrats! :occasion14:

Just what we need, more dollar stores.
Great saves!

Congrats on the 2 silver dimes and the other finds too!

I worked at their distribution center in Duncan, Oklahoma when it was first built a little over 20 years ago. The place was a slave camp. 5 years was all I could take.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Glad you saved those 2 silvers from becoming victims of the Family Dollar !
