1916 german medal?

I know what this is now but dont know if its real or just an very old copy....it was in the ground for along time in an old broken down barn.

Anyone know if its real or not?

First nice find i re-sized the first picture a lot easier to see it, so it does not take up the entire screen , i can see parts that look to be gold but it is blackened bronze there is one for sale on e-bay ill include the link. I see no reason for it not to be real . DD60

Someone told me not to do any "restoring" as it might hurt the value as some want the original "patina" or whatever....do you agree?

I would leave it just the way it is shows its age nice find

thanks for the info......someone said that there are replicas...otherwise a coin like this "might" be in a museum. I know they have been making fakes forever on lots of things so, Im just trying to figure out if this is the real deal or not
